Hey everyone, it’s Jason here from Dog Envy! I wanted to share my experience from last weekend at Crook Town Football Club’s Millfield Ground, where we joined forces with Ruth from Non League Dogs for a fun-filled day of football, dogs, and everything in between.
We were lucky enough to set up our Dog Envy stall at the ground, packed with all sorts of treats, toys, and goodies for the local pups. It was an incredible afternoon – Crook came out on top with a brilliant 5-2 win over Newcastle University, but honestly, the real stars of the day were the 28 dogs who came along with their humans to soak up the atmosphere.
From the moment the gates opened, it was clear this was going to be a special event. Dogs of all shapes and sizes filled the stands, and every single one was entered into the ‘Dog of the Day’ contest. It was tough to pick a winner because, let’s be real, they were all amazing, but in the end, Duke – a 9-month-old Cane Corso puppy and Crook Town AFC’s biggest four-legged fan – took home the title. Little Willow wasn’t far behind either, securing runner-up with her adorable charm.
One of the best parts of my day was meeting all the owners and their dogs. You could tell that each one had his or her own personality, and seeing how much people love their pets is always heartwarming. I spent most of the day chatting with dog lovers, handing out treats, and even sharing a few product recommendations. Whether it was our amazing Ruffwear harnesses or natural treats for a picky eater, I loved hearing about everyone’s pets and what they enjoy.
The energy around the ground was electric, and it was great to be a part of such a fun, community-driven event. Massive thanks to Non League Dogs and to Crook Football Club for letting us be part of the action. There’s just something about football and dogs that go together perfectly!
I would have loved to take Tess, but her love for footballs would have had her joining Crook Town on the field and quickly running in the opposite direction with the ball!
We’re already looking forward to the next event, and if you stopped by our stall, I hope your pup is loving their new goodies! Can’t wait to see you at our shop soon. Photos of Duke, Willow, and some other visitors are below.
Thanks for a brilliant day, and here’s to more in the future!
Cheers,Jason
